Nurse - Karen Wright

I am originally from Johnstown, in the rural mountains of Pennsylvania. Like other mountain towns; Johnstown has a historic past, close-knit families, and a strong sense of community. Because of my community and my family, I have over 30 years experience in Nursing. The majority of this experience has been in the clinical setting down South; so, while I will always be a Yankee at heart, the South will always be my home.

This commitment to the family, and the community, is the reason I joined the experienced team at Village Family Practice. Village Family Practice is a community-based health care facility that strives to show that medicine is concerned with both people and their community. Family medicine allows me to contribute both in the clinical setting and with direct community involvement. Providing anything less would make it just a job.

To me healthcare should extend beyond the examination room. Healthcare is everything. It is caring for you, your health, your community, and your culture. This is why I am a Nurse.

Medical Assistant - Debbie Stevens

Although I am originally from West Virginia; I moved to North Carolina in 1981.

I have two daughters, three grandsons, and a wonderful husband! I have a dog named Bella and a beta fish. I enjoy reading indoors; and fresh-water, and salt-water fishing outdoors.

My nursing background includes work in the operating room, the family practice office, and the urgent care clinic.
